Love the new tunnel - as you know, S & T are big fans. And since it folds up to the size of a large pancake, even clutter-phobics can appreciate it, huh (o.k., admittedly that would be quite a pancake but you know what I'm saying). As for ice cream, it's one of our standard afternoon we-have-an-hour-and-don't-know-what-to-do-so-might-as-well-ruin-dinner activities. You could also try the other -- going to Starbucks for "strawberry coffee" as the girls affectionately call the delicious strawberry & creams (note to Nate - they also have chocolate!). Good luck staying out of the heat!

We have to keep our tunnel packed away most of the time. Sawyer adores it, but her preferred ways of playing with it are somewhat nontraditional and frankly not so fun for the tunnel supervisor.

Let's see. We've got the stand-the-tunnel-up-on-one-end-vertically-and-have-Mommy-and-Sawyer-stand-inside-it-giggling move, and the put-one-end-on-the-couch-and-try-to-use-it-as-a-slide move, and the lay-it-on-the-real-slide-and-use-it-like-a-covered-slide move . . .

And I am a huge advocate of ice cream. We have a Haagen-Dazs 2 doors away from our dry cleaner, so whenever we take the dry cleaning over, Sawyer walks to the ice cream place expectantly, as though it is her God-given right to have ice cream after relinquishing the clothes to the nice dry cleaning people.

And of course I agree with Lisa and vote for Starbucks - even a kiddie milk with ice in a starbucks cup is a nice excursion.
