I finished the seventh grade final exam with a score of 92% and 47/51 problems correct. I learned some a long time ago, some of them were a bit harder. I noticed about 5 minutes ago that I passed the exam!!! Tomorrow, they'll let me start the high school course!!!
That's awesome, Isn't it?

Fantastic news! I am so proud of you, Nate. I liked math when I was young, but do you know it took me a long time--until the seventh grade--to finish pre-algebra, and I don't think I got 92 points, either, perhaps barely passed the exam by scoring 81. Now you are going to algebra!
T = N + 61. What do you think this equation is? Hint, hint--how old do you think I am? You can change this equation to: N = T - 61.

Hi Nate:
I have to change the equation. T = N - 62. And N = T -62. You now know I am not good at math.

N-T=61. T=70. N = 131.
Posted by: Nate | September 05, 2011 at 02:42 PM
I did not get 81%.

Nate, you are awesome! Great great job! We are so excited for you and happy that you are having such a good time with the program. We're proud of you for what you have achieved but also proud of you because you are very fun to be around! Like so many other commenters, I (Uncle Dave) loved math as well, especially algebra. Can't wait to see you take on some new equations!

Nate, this is such fantastic news! I know how hard you've been working and studying, I'm so glad that all of your hard work is getting you such high scores. But even if you didn't even pass, I'd still be impressed with all of your effort. It's an honor to know such a hard working young man, you are an inspiration to us all.
