Nate had an early eighth birthday party, complete with a Lego engineer leading the kids in train battles, Andrea's homemade cake pops, and a birthday-boy-designed treasure hunt. Sample couplets from the clues: "Check under the slide/Keep your eyes wide"; "Look next to the apple tree/And see a plant on me"; and "It is on top of the hill/Do you know anyone named Bill?" All rhyming! And mostly on-topic! What a fun day.
Jonah and Rhys are carefully scrutinizing their plans:
Our baby boy is no longer in pre-school. Jonah got his diploma and moved on to kindergarten. Did he look excited? I don't know if you can tell from these pictures. Incidentally, I include two pictures of the three stooges (Simi, Henry, and Jonah) only because I think that Simi was admirably consistent in wearing his intimidating angry face.
